Built on Solana

How Hush works

Hush is the private wallet for people and the AI agents they run, built on Solana. These docs explain what works today and what's on the way.

Overview

Available now: sign in with a Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare or Backpack) or email, link several wallets, see live SOL and USDC balances and history, send and receive, save contacts, and create agent wallets with spending limits and an API.

On the way: confidential USDC transfers, view keys and cards. See the roadmap.

Hush never holds the keys to your own wallets. Signing in is a signed message, not a transaction, and every payment you send is signed in your wallet. Agent wallets are the exception: Hush holds their keys (encrypted) so agents can pay without you.

Core concepts

Accounts

Wallet or email, one account

Sign in with a Solana wallet, or create an account with email and link wallets later. One Hush account can hold several wallets.

Solana

Fast and cheap

Solana produces a block about every 400 milliseconds, and fees are usually a fraction of a cent, which makes tiny agent payments practical.

Privacy

Confidential transfers

Solana's token standard includes confidential transfers: amounts are encrypted and proven valid with zero-knowledge proofs. Hush will use this for private USDC.

Audits

View keys

Confidential transfers support an auditor key, so you can let an accountant read exactly the payments you choose.

Agent accounts

An agent account is a separate Solana wallet for an AI agent, owned by you. You give it an allowance and an API key, fund it with USDC (plus about 0.01 SOL for network fees), and it pays for things on its own. You can pause it, change limits, rotate its key or withdraw everything from the Agents page.

Limits

Daily and per-payment caps

Set how much an agent may spend per day and per payment. Anything over the limit is rejected before it's signed.

Allowlist

Approved sites only

Choose which services an agent may pay. Payments to anywhere else are refused.

Agent API

Your agent pays by calling one endpoint with its API key. Hush checks the agent's rules, then signs and sends a USDC payment on Solana mainnet and waits for confirmation.

# Pay 0.25 USDC
curl -X POST https://hush-two-pink.vercel.app/api/agent-pay \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer hush_sk_..." \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"to":"RECIPIENT_ADDRESS","amount":"0.25","domain":"api.example.com","memo":"order 42"}'

# Check budget and limits
curl https://hush-two-pink.vercel.app/api/agent-pay -H "Authorization: Bearer hush_sk_..."
Request

Fields

to: Solana address to pay. amount: USDC as a string, like "0.25". domain: the site being paid, required if the agent has approved sites. memo: optional, public.

Responses

What comes back

200 paid, with signature and remaining budget. 403 blocked by a rule (the reason is in error). 402 the agent doesn't have enough funds. 401 bad key.

SDK preview

The SDK isn't published yet. This is what it's planned to look like. Email hush@gmail.com for early access.
import { Hush } from "@hush/sdk";

const hush = new Hush({ apiKey: process.env.HUSH_KEY });

// A private USDC payment on Solana.
await hush.transfers.create({ to: "7xKp...9fQ2", amount: "125.00", asset: "USDC" });

// Create an agent with its own allowance.
await hush.agents.create({
  handle: "datafetch",
  policy: { daily: "50.00", perRequest: "5.00" },
});
